This was a self devised concept. I decided to transform the popular video game Red Dead Redemption II into a holiday resort escape experience. This is my construction of the character Sadie Adler costume. Using leatherwork, natural dyes, pin tucks, breaking down and pleats.

I created my design for Buttons from Guy Unsworth’s ‘Cinderella the Pantomime’. I wanted to keep the traditional ditsy, upbeat, quirky character with my own added twists and references to the script. I Lino printed the shirt and trouser fabrics, constructed the hat and giant button and altered some cheap shoes

Using a provided image I had to create a 18th century working woman costume within a specific colour scheme (monochrome with red accents). This involves a chemise, bumroll,  stays and petticoat. I also challenged myself with adding the apron and cap.

At the beginning of second year at university this brief set us one half scale garment a week. I got tasked with a darted bodice with front facing, a corset draped on the mannequin, a farthingale and bumroll, plastazote armour, a padded catsuit and a tailored jacket.

This design was for the character Maman from the L'enfant et les Sortileges. This project involved draping on the mannequin and pattern matching using basting techniques. All the fabric was required to be sourced from local charity shops (eg, mens shirts and ties).

This is my construction for Sadie Adler’s undergarments. A pair of combinations with some high knew wooden socks. The era i was looking at for inspiration for this project was 1860’s-1900’s, mainly focussing on 1890’s.

I had 6 weeks to recreate a David Bowie costume fit to a model for a Biopic film brief. The costume I created was the 1980's Pierott featured in the Ashes to Ashes music video. While this project was insanely fun, it definitely had its challenges.

Collaborating in a group of 4 costumers, we created one of our designs for a The Masked Singer brief. My contributions where drafting and creating the top and cane.

I was told to bring a mens long sleeved shirt in and given a decade. Then I had just under 3 hours to research and transform this modern mens shirt into a 1970's woman's crowd costume. I darted the sides,  smocked the back, shortened and gathered the sleeves then crossed over the front with a groovy button fastening.

This project was completed during a lockdown while many people at uni didn't have access to sewing machines. I decided to take on the challenge of hand sewing the whole thing as it would have been done in the 1800's. I used natural dye techniques to achieve every colour (onions, coffee, red cabbage and lemon juice)
