A Bit About Me

Hi, my name is Alana Simms.

I am a soon to be graduate of Nottingham Trent University, Costume Design and Construction. I have always been passionate about the creative arts. I’ve studied fine art, textiles (art and design as well as design and technology), performing arts and drama and theatre studies. From those subjects you can probably tell I enjoy all aspects of theatre, from admiring the costume design to being on stage. I have been involved in a few voluntary shows to raise money for the institutions (church and amateur theatre) in my local town in both acting and wardrobe assistance.

I'd like to say I am a designer and a maker within costume, leaning more towards the making of costumes as I enjoy the experimenting and challenges. My goal is to design and create for stage/theatre mostly and one day potentially teach with my experience.
